Warriors and Rodeo received $9,000 from an auction item donated by Heel-O-Matic Training Systems at the Bob Feist Invitational Cowboy Auction June 17.

For the second year in a row at the Cowboy Auction, the team-roping supply company donated a customized roping dummy as an auction item to raise funds for WAR, which works with military and emergency response personnel in community and professional development programs.

“Warriors and Rodeo is an organization founded on the principles of sacrifice, dedication, patriotism, honor, and integrity. We are thankful to partner with companies such as Heel-O-Matic and the Bob Feist Invitational that also take those same attributes and build it into their business and daily work ethic,” said WAR founding president and Navy veteran Sheri Smith. “Companies who go the extra mile as they have are to be applauded and can be an example for all American companies. We all have a responsibility to give back to those who are willing to give their life for our freedom and safety.”

The roping dummy custom painted with scenes depicting service-members – including paramedics transporting a patient into an ambulance, firefighters in front of a burning building, and Marines saluting a fallen soldier in a flag-covered casket.

The equipment was painted by Colorado-based Dale Daniel Art & Design.

In 2017, Heel-O-Matics donated three auction items during the BFI Cowboy Auction, raising $26,000 for Warriors and Rodeo.

“Together Warriors and Rodeo, Heel-O-Matic, and the Bob Feist Invitational will change lives and save lives for another year,” Smith said. “Freedom isn’t free and they are certainly helping us to support those who provide that freedom with blood, sweat and sacrifice.”
